Position Overview – Designer:

The Designer is a generalist role, and the candidate is expected to possess the abilities to deal with aspects of Interior Architectural design, and assist senior leaders in production, project and client management, and related issues. The position is responsible for handling a wide variety of project types and professional design activities including: spatial planning and design, finishes, FF&E, lighting, code requirements. The role includes contributing to project delivery, and supporting business development activities and firm operations.

The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, and pragmatic with a good foundation in design concepts and principles, practices and construction. Good communication, collaboration, interpersonal and problem solving skills are important abilities required for the position.

The Designer will communicate and collaborate with senior management and firm leadership, clients, staff, consultants, vendors and contractors. The position is a solid platform for personal career growth, leads directly to advancement to senior levels, and supports firm’s overall success and growth.

Other aspects of the role include:


  • Contribute to producing conceptual and fully executed designs
  • Ability to work with multiple clients and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Participate and support firm BD activities
  • Collaborate within project teams, with vendors, and consultants to produce successful design outcomes
  • Ability to create Construction Documents independently
  • Support and contribute to the aesthetic, functional, production aspects of projects
  • Assist senior leaders in curating design functional/aesthetic resources
  • Proficient in modelling/drawing skills in Revit, CAD, Adobe PS, Illustrator, Indesign, and MS Office tools
