Fogo de Chao brings Brazilian churrasco dining to Burlington Mall

Meat eaters rejoice! Fogo de Chao, the international Brazilian steakhouse chain, is now open for business at the Burlington Mall.

The sleek new restaurant is located at the western portion of the mall in what used to be the Sears automotive center, and has two outdoor patios with fireplace seating, in addition to a marble accented interior with natural wood paneling, chandeliers and a glass-encased wine room.

What will patrons experience?

The open-air churrasco grill sports waitstaff dressed as gauchos grilling ribeye, lamb chops and picanha – the prime part of the top sirloin, as well as other cuts of meat over an open flame, to be carved tableside for patrons. Those seeking the ultimate experience can opt for a 20 oz. Wagyu New York strip carved tableside on a Himalayan salt block, a dry-aged 32 oz. long bone tomahawk ribeye, or a 24 oz. Wagyu ribeye for the table.

Fogo de Chao has opened on the former Sears Automotive Center site in Burlington

The weekend Brazilian brunch adds a waffle and omelet station to the churrasco experience.

There is also be a full-service salad bar, and a variety of side dishes, desserts, an extensive South American wine list,  premium whiskies and bourbons, and a contemporary full-service bar with Brazilian-inspired cocktails and small plate options including braised beef rib sliders, churrasco meat boards and the house-ground picanha burger.

Children under age six can dine for free and ages 7 to 12 enjoy half price meals.

Fogo de Chao is open for lunch Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; dinner Monday through Thursday, 2:30 to 10 p.m., Friday, 2:30 to 10:30 p.m., Saturday 2:30 10:30 p.m. and Sunday 2:30 to 9 p.m. Brunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
